Our services include infrastructure building and asset management, rail systems, signalling and communications, tunnel, and intelligent transport systems.The OpportunityThe role of Construction Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of all aspects of our construction activities for our QLD Rail Systems team. This is a newly created position as a result of a significant package of signalling works that has been awarded to UGL.Key responsibilities:Plan and stage construction work, both greenfield and brownfield in an operating railway environment.Interface with other management and engineering functions.Ensure enough resources (personnel, plant and equipment) are provided on all projects. Forecast future resource requirements and assist with onboarding of new starters.Monitor physical and financial progress of work in the construction phase and assist with forecasting.Provide leadership, direction, supervision and inspirational management to all team members (direct & indirect).Ensure construction activities are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, cost, and ensure schedule deadlines are met.Undertake construction administration including roster management and delegate responsibilities as required.Ideal attributesThe following Ideal attributes are highly desired, but if you do not tick all the boxes, you could still be a great fit.
