Job Title: Principal Consultant (Environmental Geochemistry)

The Role:
We are looking for a talented Environmental Geochemist who has a passion for problem-solving, mentoring, and continued career development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing specialised consulting services to our clients locally and internationally.
• Using detailed technical knowledge and experience to provide timely advice, recommendations, and project work to our clients, across a wide range of commodities and projects.
• Sharing knowledge through leadership and mentoring skills to grow the careers of more junior team members.
• Effectively engaging and managing client relationships as well as developing new clients and nurturing future relationships through professional abilities and team offering.
Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in Geology, Geochemistry, Environmental Science, or engineering discipline with related experience (e.g. Chemical Engineering).
• Relevant Masters or PhD highly regarded.
• 10+ years experience in geochemical characterisation of mine wastes, mineral waste management, and water quality assessments.
• Previous consulting experience.
• Field work experience including drilling supervision and geological logging, test pit logging, and sampling (soils, water, geological samples).
• Experience in the design and implementation of field and laboratory investigations to support geochemical assessments.
• Experience managing static and kinetic geochemical laboratory programs, and processing and interpreting laboratory data.
• Developed practical mineral waste management plans and management solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Previous project management and business development experience.
• Language fluency in English.
• The ability to prepare and peer review high-quality technical reports.
• Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or existing Working Visa (minimum 12 month validity) preferred.
• Willingness to travel for project work (domestic/international and possibly to remote locations).
