This is an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person to commence a Dental Assisting Traineeship. The trainee will be employed on a 12-month fixed term temporary contract with the Townsville Oral Health Service. This role includes on-the-job training, along with access to cultural and clinical support, while pursuing a Certificate III in Dental Assisting. The Dental Assistant role involves: All aspects of chair-side dental assistance to dental clinicians including supporting culturally safe and respectful care for all patients. Supporting the delivery of person-centred dental care and excellent customer service. Working collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to liaise with all staff and patients. Ability to work individually and as an adaptive team member, with knowledge and application of values-based workplace behaviours within a changing work environment. Good organisational skills and ability to multitask. Willingness to learn and take on constructive feedback. What's on offer: Generous remuneration package value up to $74,551 p.a. comprising: Salary range of $2330.40 to $2504.50 p.f. (CA2) 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
