Due to growth within our organisation, we are looking for an experienced HSE Trainer to support the business across Western Australia.
The candidate should have extensive experience in developing and delivering HSE-related Learning and Development packages.
Supported by and reporting to the L&D Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering best-in-class HSE Learning and Development programs and providing Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance advice to MGM Bulk employees, leaders, and contractors.
This will be an exciting and dynamic role working across L&D, HSE, Operations, Maintenance, HR and Finance departments.
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, this position's primary responsibility is to provide support in delivering Training programs and Verification of Competence (VOC) assessments to MGM Bulk employees, contractors, and visitors.
Develop HSE L&D Training programs aligned with the Work Health Safety Management Plan.
Develop and update Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, VOC and Assessment Documentation as required.
Support Branch Managers by participating in the onboarding programs of MC Operators in alignment with Operational schedules and as directed by the L&D Manager.
Provide leave coverage for other Training and Onboarding Coordinators (TOCS) and HSE Advisors as required.
Travel within WA will be necessary.
Provide support with ICAM investigations to improve employee facilitation skills.
Identify hazards in operational work areas and communicate risk and controls effectively with employees, contractors, and visitors.
Support and communicate transparently with employees, contractors, and visitors regarding industry best practices in HSE L&D. Assist and guide continuous improvement of the HSEQ Management System with the development of risk assessments and procedures.
Participate in audits and workplace inspections across the business.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Excellent organisational, analytical skills and computer skills Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Proven expertise in designing and delivering tailored, effective learning and development programs, preferably in multi-disciplined skills and trades, automotive and safety environments.
Good understanding of the Workplace Health and Safety Act and its associated regulations High level of document development and control experience Advanced Microsoft Suite skills.
Demonstrated ICAM investigation and facilitation skills Experience in electronic Learning Management System software Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Tickets, Licences and Qualification Requirements: MUST HAVES: Minimum TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher.
Minimum Cert 4 in Work Health & Safety or higher Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Class WA Drivers Licence ADVANTAGEOUS: Hold a valid WA Multi Combination (MC) Driver's license Certification or documentation demonstrating knowledge of and experience with developing and delivering HSECQLD Training programs.
