About the role An exciting role supporting The Australian Women's Weekly brand as well as the wider Homes & Lifestyle vertical, covering areas such as print, digital, social media, events, and more. In this role you will be providing assistance to the General Manager of Homes & Lifestyle, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including commercial teams, marketing, and readers.
The position encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, from office and project management to event coordination, alongside general administrative tasks. We're seeking a proactive, mature individual who is confident in taking on new challenges. This role offers excellent opportunities for growth and learning.
Duties Coordinate administrative tasks for The Australian Women's Weekly editorial leadership team, including reader enquiries, magazine mark-ups, and credit card reconciliations.Organise team meetings, travel, events, and assist with flagship initiatives like The Australian Women's Weekly Health Summit.Support PR strategy by scheduling assets for magazine and website promotions and wider brand events.Assist with budget management and maintain files and production schedules.Support the General Manager of Homes & Lifestyle by managing their calendar, meetings, travel, and expenses.Organise quarterly all-hands meetings, onboard new team members, and maintain communication channels.Prepare reports, board papers, and coordinate senior leadership meetings.Plan team celebrations, assist at company events, provide occasional reception coverage, and support key business presentations.Skills and experience Exceptional organisational skills with a proven ability to develop and implement efficient administrative processes.Proactive, goal-oriented, and consistently maintain a positive, can-do attitude.Demonstrated experience thriving in fast-paced environments.Able to build effective internal and external relationships.Skilled at setting goals, planning ahead, and managing competing priorities to consistently meet deadlines.Professional, mature, and decisive in decision-making and approach.Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks.Strong written and verbal communication, comfortable handling inquiries, and creating reports/slides.Are Media is committed to a diverse, respectful, collaborative & inclusive workplace.
