The RoleThe Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) Branch is seeking a professional, motivated and experienced EL 1 Deputy Project Manager to join our Maritime Combat System Development Enterprise in Adelaide. The Combat Systems Integration - Integrated Project Team (CSI-IPT) Deputy Project Manager is responsible for engaging as a Commonwealth Subject Matter Expert (SME) and providing support to the delivery of CSI-IPT activities for major surface combatant ships. This will include participating in CSI-IPT activities such as tasking statement development, approval and delivery, providing advice to CSI-IPT teams to influence best for enterprise outcomes, informing best practice principles and guiding value for money collaborative outcomes for industry and the Commonwealth. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.
