Gallery Technician
Part Time
$32.26 – $34.70 per hour plus 11% Superannuation.
Location: Morwell – Latrobe Regional Gallery

About the Roles
As a Gallery Technician you will assist with the production of exhibitions to a high standard of presentation appropriate to a public gallery.
You will also be responsible for providing operational support across a range of functions including art handling, collection management, audio visual production and general maintenance.
About You
Knowledge of established art handling and conservation methods and practices, or ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
Experience with audio visual installation, lighting and video projection or ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.
Understanding of contemporary exhibition presentation.
Practical skills in general maintenance, carpentry, painting, plastering and minor repairs, or a general aptitude to acquire these skills with appropriate training.
Practical skills in collection management, including the maintenance of registration records as required.
You will need:
* White card induction and working safely at heights or ability to acquire this training upon appointment.
* General carpentry skills will be highly regarded.
