THE ROLE
Sonic HealthPlus is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Marketing and Communications Officer to join our Commercial business unit. This role will take ownership of key marketing and communication projects and work closely with the National Marketing and Communications Manager to plan and execute impactful marketing and communications activities.
As a Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, you will be expected to maintain the highest standards of respect, communication, and service quality when interacting with employees, managers, clients, and external stakeholders. Your efforts will contribute to reinforcing Sonic HealthPlus' reputation as the preferred provider of community and corporate health solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
* Lead marketing and communication projects, developing detailed project plans, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
* Ensure timely completion of projects through effective time management and stakeholder communication.
Events and Conferences:
* Oversee the national events and conferences calendar, ensuring successful delivery of key events and creating lead-generation opportunities such as webinars.
* Develop and coordinate internal events to foster knowledge sharing and promote company culture.
Brand Management:
* Build, protect, and evolve the brand in line with strategic goals, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
Administration and Support:
* Maintain reporting for the National Marketing and Communications Manager and provide administrative support for ongoing projects.
* Assist team members during ramp-up periods or absences.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
Skills:
* Strong understanding of contemporary marketing and communication practices.
* Excellent project management skills, including planning, time management, problem-solving, and adaptability.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
* Agile and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to simplify complex medical/clinical information for easy communication.
* High-level computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms, planning tools like Hootsuite and Asana, analytical tools (e.g., Google Analytics, MOZ), and CRMs (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365).
* Capacity to manage and measure budget allocation.
* Proven experience in national event management and delivery.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in marketing and communications.
* Proven experience in event management and delivery, including trade shows and webinars.
* Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or a related discipline.
* Previous experience in the healthcare sector is highly desirable but not essential.
