About Rothsay Gold Mine
Rothsay Gold Mine is a high-grade, narrow vein, an underground gold mine located approximately 300 km north-northeast of Perth and 85km southeast of Silver Lake's Deflector Operations.
Rothsay commenced underground mining in late 2020 and comprises two declines, with ore being mined via long-hole stoping methods using custom-made equipment.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor to join our team at Rothsay Gold Mine. Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering all site survey requirements for both the underground and surface aspects of the operation.
You will collaborate closely with our experienced Mine Survey team and work on a variety of tasks including:
* Maintain accurate survey control of underground workings and surface infrastructure.
* Carry out detailed surveys for end-of-month reporting.
* Effective use and maintenance of Leica Total Station and GPS equipment.
* Conduct surface and underground drone survey work using a DJI M200 and Elios 3 Drone and associated processing software, including Pix4D and Inspector.
* Installation of necessary survey control for directional control of mining.
* Produce a high standard of mining instructions and plans.
* Carry out CMS surveys of underground stopes.
* Generate accurate survey data and effectively communicate information to the technical team in a timely manner.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mine Surveying.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety.
* Demonstrated underground mine survey experience.
* Working knowledge of Deswik software.
* Experience working with Leica Total Station equipment is preferred.
* A high degree of self-motivation with the ability to plan and priorities multiple tasks.
* A professional attitude and the ability to work as part of a team or autonomously.
* A high attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
* Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
