Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will be responsible for rearing Day Old Chicks and producing the highest quality Pullet for transition to the main Farm. Your responsibilities will include:
4. Rearing/growing day old chicks in a productive, safe and welfare oriented environment;
5. Supporting the Farm Manager in day-to-day operations;
6. Contributing to the strategic direction and business management;
7. Monitoring and maintaining a high standard of livestock production;
8. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies;
9. Participating in audits and reporting operational matters promptly;
10. Monitoring animal health and administering treatments as directed; and
11. Assisting in team management, recruitment and training.

Farms
To be successful in the role, you will have proven supervisory experience (3-5 years), a record of your positive contributions to business growth and a demonstrated dedication to animal welfare. You will also possess:

13. Strong decision making, interpersonal and communication skills; and
14. Basic computer skills.
An understanding of the requirements of Quality Assurance and Food Safety Systems and documentation would be highly regarded (but not essential).
