Role Details
The Principal Policy Officer develops, implements and provides advice on complex policy initiatives and significant projects/programs related to emergency management, recovery and security issues, in collaboration with key stakeholders. While focusing on a particular policy area, they are required to support broader team priorities and lead/support operational activities as needed. The officer will have the opportunity to work on significant recovery programs for the SA community, support the State Crisis Centre during significant events and prepare briefings on national issues. This is a unique development opportunity with a dynamic and supportive team.
Special Conditions
4. The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
5. The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
6. Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
7. Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required.
8. This role requires a National Criminal History check.
9. AllSERM staff are required to participate in the State Crisis Centre duringexercises and incidents and be on the on-call roster for the State CrisisCentre and State Emergency Centre.
10. This role requires a National Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1.
