*** The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) are seeking Allied Health Professionals to join our new Head to Health Kids (H2HK) Tasmania service.
This role will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver secondary level mental health assessment and interventions for infants, children, and their families and caregivers, experiencing emerging complexity regarding emotional, social, relational, and behavioural functioning.
As part of the Head to Health Kids team, the role will: Support the establishment of the North West Head to Health Kids Tasmania service.Undertake assessments, care planning and delivery of individual and group secondary level mental health interventions to children and families, including culturally appropriate services.Develop and support collaborative care partnerships with service providers including across primary health, child health and parenting, paediatrics, child safety, education, and early childhood programs and services.Collect and review client and service outcome data and participate in activities to improve client outcomes.Contribute to continuing quality and safety, service development and improvement, and professional development processes and standards.Duties: Ensure the delivery of a comprehensive clinical service through the provision of assessment, case management and individual therapies, including specialised therapies for clients and their families or carers.Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for clients with major and complex mental health problems, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.Function as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.Prepare specialised reports as required.Consult and liaise with the broader health system including GPs, other Agencies and families and carers to optimise service effectiveness and efficiency and continuity of care.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.
About H2HK Tasmania: H2HK Tas is an integrated secondary level mental health service for emerging complexity for the 0-12 year age group, and represents an important addition to a child and family mental health stepped care model in Tasmania.
This early intervention service enables families to access a range of evidence based individual and group interventions and supports for mild to moderate emotional, behavioural, social, relational, and developmental challenges.
The Head to Health Kids Tas service works with families, and universal, secondary, and tertiary service providers, to provide integrated and holistic care.
The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) is a key co-service partner.
Details of Appointment: Multiple fixed term full time day worker position working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2026.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.Salary: $106,966 - $118,114 per annum.
Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.
2 of 2022.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia and Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; orTertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia and Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia; orTertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW; orTertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Speech Pathology Australia and is a full member of Speech Pathology Australia or is eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.Current Working with Children Registration.Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: Current Driver's Licence.Post graduate experience in mental health in relation to CAMHS.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
