About the role
This is an Expression of Interest for a Project Engineer – Quality Assurance.
UGL Major Projects division is expecting significant growth for 2025 in Western Australia as we support large Building Services Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for locals and those open to FIFO and DIDO roles. As a result, we have an Expression of Interest for Project Engineer – Quality Assurance role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement quality assurance plans and protocols for projects.
* Define quality standards and criteria in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
* Identify areas for improvement in processes and suggest enhancements.
* Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, products, and processes to ensure compliance with standards.
* Analyse test data and reports to identify any issues or deviations from quality standards.
* Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and audits.
* Prepare reports on quality performance and present findings to management.
* Ensure that the project complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.
* Stay updated with changes in quality standards and implement necessary adjustments.
* Provide training and support to project teams on quality standards and procedures.
About You
* Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer with Quality Assurance experience.
* Strong understanding of Building Codes, utilities requirements, and building services to be implemented in residential buildings.
* Proven experience (from concept to completion) as a design engineer with full understanding of local construction methodologies throughout all areas of residential development.
* Experience working on large accommodation villages made up of modular buildings or similar types of projects.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
* Strong communication skills (oral & written), including strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
