If yes, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to join a collaborative and supportive team to work on key priorities and projects for the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program, a market-based program that provides incentives to consumers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by managing or reducing their energy use.
The Policy Officer will support the legislative review of the VEU program including through the development of strategic policy recommendations, as well as research emerging technologies and policies, and undertake modelling of the costs and benefits of policy proposals relating to the VEU program.
To be successful in the role, you will have strong policy, writing and teamwork skills, as well as be a self-motivated and creative thinker who can identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation, and experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification(s) in public policy, law, emergency management or similar is desirable.
* Experience in energy efficiency, environmental or energy economics or econometrics would be desirable.
This is a fixed-term position available until 5 September 2025. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne with hybrid work arrangements available.
