We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation that specialises in the design, manufacturing, and installation of major retail brands. With established relationships with brands such as Woolworths, Aldi, and JB Hi-Fi, this innovative company delivers high-quality fit-out and installation services, helping to transform retail spaces for some of Australia’s most recognised brands.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in business development and be willing to travel throughout VIC, NSW & QLD. With strong internal support and a project management team, this field-based position primarily involves face-to-face sales across the East Coast and offers a high level of autonomy. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, driving business growth, and ensuring exceptional service delivery on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and engage large retail brand clients for fit-outs, installations, and international product sourcing.
* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed targets.
* Build long-term relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and offering tailored solutions.
* Lead the full sales process from lead generation to closing deals and contract negotiation.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects and high client satisfaction.
* Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
Key Requirements:
* Proven business development or sales experience, preferably in fit-outs, construction, or related fields.
* Strong connections within the food chain or retail sectors.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* A self-motivated, proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
