THE ROLE This newly created role will actively support and enhance the implementation of Homes Victoria's occupational health, safety and wellbeing systems and procedures with a particular focus on housing construction. The role will also assist in the identification of process improvements and the development of activity focused documentation and tools. The Safety team supports the implementation of the Departments and Homes Victoria's Corporate and People Strategies with this role contributing as directed where their skills can support the outcomes. · Coordinating a broad range of health and safety activities, including consultative forums and processes, workplace inspections and continuous improvement initiatives. · Oversight of the delivery of the Occupational, Health Safety and Quality Assurance Program across our live construction sites. · The collection, recording and analysis of health safety wellbeing and quality data to produce recommendations and reports to management. · Participation in the site-based inspection activities and support the identification of improvements and consistency. · Promote a positive safety culture through active involvement of systems, including providing specialist advice, support, training, and education to staff. · Developing and updating safety procedures and plans, implementing health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance processes and key responsibilities. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements. Support the implementation and review of the Departments and Homes Victoria's Health Safety and Wellbeing management system, identifying operational and process improvements. Support the continued development of an accessible resource toolkit that will equip our people with the right knowledge, procedures, guides, checklists, and tools for an enhanced psychologically and physically safe environment.
