About the role Due to ongoing growth, Intertek is looking for electrical inspectors based in Victoria to perform adhoc technical inspections driven by adherence to project schedule. This role has ownership of servicing clients' needs relative to mining, oil and gas industry in line with Intertek policies and procedures, client quality codes/standards requirements. With great emphasis placed on accurate, and error free reporting, this role would ideally suit a process driven, self-managed technician, who prides themselves in their high attention to detail. Qualifications Australian Electrical Contractor License (State specific)Electrical Trade CertificateCert IV in Hazardous AreasCert III in Instrumentation & Control (desirable) Key Areas of Responsibilities Performing adhoc inspection work within company, client, and regulatory standards, with accuracy, and in a manner which results in positive customer feedback.Ensuring that all work undertaken is carried out in a timely and cost effective mannerPrepare and issue progressive inspection reports and inspection release notes, ensuring that the deliverables produced comply with relevant regulations, codes and standardsEnsuring Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards are maintained, and that all work areas are free from risk to persons, equipment, and the natural environment by identifying, assessing and controlling workplace hazardsAssuming the face of Intertek in all company representative matters, to all Intertek clients, as well as other stakeholdersMust be willing to travel to clients, manufacturers, suppliers and others as necessary, to perform or witness the requisite inspectionsMust be willing to undertake Client and Intertek online compliance training courses as required Skills and experience The essential requirements of this role include: A minimum of 10 years' experience of inspections in mining, oil and gas industriesDemonstrated written and oral English language proficiencyAbility to work with minimal supervisionExperience in writing and delivering inspection reports of a professional standardIntermediate Microsoft Office SkillsMust have rights to reside and work unrestricted within AustraliaDriver's License How to apply: Only applicants with an existing right to work in Australia will be considered.Intertek strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for all positions.Please apply by clicking 'apply' below.
