The Keeping Women Safe in their Homes Project is a local, community-based initiative that will raise awareness of family violence in the Katanning and surrounding communities. The Project will focus on case management, community engagement and capacity building strategies.
In this role, you'll conduct intake and assessments to ensure immediate crisis needs are met, conduct safety audits for outreach clients and develop integrated, across-sector case management plans. Embedding a ‘Safe and Together’ approach to service delivery, you'll work alongside clients to support them to make choices to enhance their safety and wellbeing, prevent homelessness, increase self-reliance and build their capacity to live independently.
This is a part time (0.6 FTE), maximum term position until 30 June 2027.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
o Relevant tertiary qualification (i.e. Social work, Social sciences, Community services) or demonstrated equivalent competency in a related field.
o Knowledge of domestic and family violence issues affecting both women and children including those from culturally and linguistically diverse and Indigenous backgrounds.
o Proven ability to provide high quality casework support and complex case management.
o Demonstrated knowledge of government and community agencies and resources that assist families, benefits available housing and relevant legal issues.
o Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including advocacy and negotiation skills.
o Proficiency in using Microsoft applications, document management systems, financial systems, Outlook, Word, and familiarity with databases.
You must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, ability to obtain a WA Working with Children Check, and a WA Drivers Licence.

o $84,000 annual salary (pro-rata)
o 11.5% superannuation
