The Role
Our client is seeking a Data Analyst Actuary to join their team that performs analysis and provides insights for the overall financial sustainability of the organisation. The successful candidate will provide leadership, control, planning, and resource management for the team membership and assigned contractors.
Key responsibilities will include:
5. Provide statistical, analytical and/or actuarial advice to senior management and stakeholders
6. Develop and maintain an understanding of business context, goals and key performance indicators
7. Work to oversee and project manage regular and adhoc reporting, analysis and data management activities
8. Oversight and development of less experienced team members
Skills and Experience
9. Relevant academic qualifications, such as, Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant equivalent qualifications
10. Experience using SAS and/or R for statistical modelling
11. Graduate level training in statistical and/or machine learning theory and experience applying either in real world problems
12. Experience applying statistical methodology to the analysis of longitudinal data
