We have an opportunity for an Experienced Medical Receptionist Parttime or Fulltimeto join our team at Armstrong Creek Doctors
We require an individual who is highly motivated, enthusiastic with a "can do" attitude towards all tasks, ability to work autonomously at a fast pace as well as in a team. This will be a growing practice so a bubbly personality is a must as well as is the ability to think on your feet!
Your responsibilities will include:
* Open and Close clinic as per set procedure
* Greet patients and other callers in a professional and courteous manner
* Make appointments for patients
* Ensure medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
* Accurately process patient payments via cash, Eftpos, and direct bill transaction.
* Knowledge of the MBS schedule and correct billing procedures
* Deal with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists etc courteously and helpfully
* Attend to patient enquiries
* Check and handle internal emails.
* Fill in the roster when staff is away, on holidays and sick leave.
* Maintain the reception waiting area and consulting rooms tidy including the clean up of spills if necessary.
* Ensure the accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records with appropriate scanning, faxing and filing of all documents.
* At all times maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information.
* Complete recalls.
* Support the day to day operations of the medical centre.
* Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills.
* High level of computer literacy and IT knowledge.
* Experience using Best Practice is desirable.
In addition, the candidate must also provide the following;
* Current Police Check
* Current Working with Children clearance
* Current First Aid/CPR certificate
* Immunisation Record
* Driving Licence/ Photo ID
Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team
* Experience with Medical software (BEST PRACTICE/MEDICAL DIRECTOR)
* Demonstrated strong organisational and problem solving skills
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment, including multitasking
* Demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing
* Demonstrated commitment to quality patient service
