The program aims to assist young people without an active enrolment by reconnecting them and helping navigate personal barriers to education and learning, facilitating their re-engagement with education or training.The incumbent will work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a social work service that supports young people and their families. The Social Worker will contribute to building the capability and capacity of young people to improve student transition, retention, and attendance.Period of AppointmentApplicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.Hours per fortnight76 hours per fortnightMinimum RequirementsCurrent Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is a full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW.Current Drivers LicenceApplication ProcessElectronic submission of application is preferred.
