Job Summary:
The Indian Ocean Territories Administration is seeking a motivated, professional, and suitably qualified person to join the Indian Ocean Territories Health Service as the Nurse Unit Manager on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
This role will involve leading and managing the multi-disciplinary health workforce in delivering high-quality, evidence-based health services to achieve optimal patient outcomes in a remote and multicultural environment.
We are looking for an individual with advanced clinical skills, knowledge, and experience in remote area nursing, strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and writing skills, as well as a commitment to supporting professional development and improving health outcomes in a remote multi-cultural environment.
The ideal candidate will have previous relevant experience in developing and delivering healthcare services using primary health principles and programs, demonstrated management and leadership skills in a multi-disciplinary organization, and a sound understanding of human resources and financial management.
In addition, applicants must be an Australian citizen, eligible for a security clearance at Baseline Vetting Level, hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and hold a valid Class C Driver's Licence transferable to the Indian Ocean Territories.
