The Corporate Services team supports our business to operate at their best and most efficient. The National Manager Operations Support is a newly created position to support our expanding operations. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the purpose of this role is to oversee and lead the operations support team in delivery of effective administrative and project management support.
The position plays a vital role in driving continuous improvement in delivery of operations support team services nationally ensuring consistent support is provided. We are looking for a business services leader preferably with exposure to the consulting or professional services industries.
Water Technology is an employee-owned Australian water business. We have a strong reputation for technical excellence in the delivery of engineering and scientific services, with specialised skills across coastal and marine, hydrogeology, hydrology, and hydraulics, integrated water management, geomorphology, environmental planning, civil and environmental engineering. We are dedicated to work that improves communities and the environment, by combining science, engineering, and practical design. We have over 140 team members across Australia and New Zealand.
What is the Purpose of this role?
* First point of contact for clients for project related support.
* Lead and support the operational support team to ensure that:
* Discipline teams are supported with systems and processes to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner.
* Project Management System (Synergy) data is accurate, complete, and up to date.
* Project related data is collected, managed and utilised to drive efficiencies and provide greater oversight of project deliverables and performance.
* The maintenance and provision of business development and/or marketing metrics and relevant data to support business development activities.
* Continuous collaborative reviews are conducted to improve existing processes.
* Leadership and guidance to your national team.
* Supporting the National and local level social, engagement and wellness initiatives.
This is a National role, with your team members based in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA and WA.
Who are we looking for?
* Experience in a leadership role where your team is geographically dispersed, and in managing an operations support team in the effective administration and operations of the company, nationally.
* Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within administration or project administration (5+ years).
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Sound business acumen and judgement and the ability to understand and analyse financial and operational related business data and ability to communicate to others.
* Experience in leading change, reviewing and implementing new systems, processes and procedures and technically astute.
* Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
And as we are a consultancy, time management and effective communication are key skills we look for in everyone. Tertiary qualification in Business or Administration is preferred but not essential. The role will include some travel.
