The ORS Positive Behaviour Support division is expanding and we are seeking our next clinician to join us. You will be part of a national team of 300+ Psychologists & Counsellors providing clinical services to NDIS participants aged 0-65.
You will work with clients over a period of months or even years, helping them achieve their personal growth and development goals. Your close bond with your clients will enable you to celebrate their achievements together every step of the way.
Your day-to-day duties will involve collaborating with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients. This includes assessing and observing participants' challenging behaviours and working towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation and introducing replacement behaviours to reduce the use of restrictive practices.
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and assessments focus on increasing a person's quality of life by improving their skills and enhancing their independence. You will develop a plan, implement it, and provide training and regular follow-up and review.
Work Life Balance
The ORS executive team values a healthy work-life balance. Many of us have families and lead busy lives outside of work, so we understand how important it is for our staff to maintain a balanced lifestyle. For this reason, we:
* Provide resources for our staff to work from home
* Aim to allocate clients close to your home
* Give you ownership of your own calendar so you can book appointments to suit your schedule
* Offer suburban office locations with free onsite and local parking
* Allow you to work part-time or reduced hours
Learning and Development
We value the clinical and professional development of our staff. That is why we have four dedicated Learning & Development Managers in the Positive Behaviour Support division who all possess many years of diverse clinical experience, extensive background in university lecturing, and impressive qualifications. You will be able to connect with these individuals in one-on-one and group training sessions, plus have the ability to email or phone them at any time to ask their advice on complex cases.
