Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Policy Officer to join our team in the Office for Youth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key funded initiatives to strengthen youth engagement, build social cohesion, and support families and communities to build protective factors against youth disengagement and its consequences.
Main Responsibilities
* Provide analysis and expert advice to the Minister for Youth, the Secretary, and senior executives on a wide range of matters of strategic and/or critical impact on policy and program implementation in relation to young people and the youth sector in Victoria.
* Manage programs including developing business cases, managing grant payments, and establishing strong relationships with funded stakeholders to support ongoing monitoring and evaluation processes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Strong policy and analytical skills
* A strong understanding of program management, monitoring, and outcomes measurement
* An interest in the issues impacting young people across Victoria
