LET'S EXPLORE THE ROLE The NOC Operator is the primary point of contact for customers of the Managed Public Safety Network (PSN) services when there is a service disruption, service request, or a request for change.
The NOC Operator will monitor and maintain the integrity of all the Managed Public Safety Network (PSN) services managed by BAI Critical Communications. The NOC Operator will manage the multi-agency user wide area Public Safety Network from the NOC and respond to alarms, communicating with field teams and customers to manage effectively and efficiently Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
This role is located in the western suburbs of Sydney.
Key responsibilities will include: Alarm monitoring and surveillance of the Public Safety Network in a 24/7 NOC EnvironmentOperations and Maintenance of all the Network associated services and systemsEffective management of all Incident, Problem, and Change Management casesProactive Event Management and Incident response to prevent Service Availability InterruptionsDirectly liaise with Emergency Service Organisations (ESO's) and Agency customers as required to resolve any faults or issuesAnalyse incidents/problems, provide or facilitate efficient and effective solutions for restoration within SLAsEscalate promptly Service Availability faults or hazards as required to on-call Duty ManagerManage all service outages and faults with relevant vendors/third partiesEnsure Customer Dashboard notices and communications are always kept up to dateLET'S HEAR ABOUT YOU You will thrive and adapt well in a pressured and changing environment while building and establishing strong relationships at all levels. You will be a quick learner who enjoys gathering information and advancing your technical knowledge. In addition, you will have experience in an operational or technical environment with experience in IT/Telecommunications/NOC Network Management/P25 Radio, where you have a strong ability to analyse complex data. You will ideally be qualified and have a solid working knowledge of ITIL, where advanced technical proficiency in Telecommunications is a must.
