internationally recognised Faculty for research and education excellence.About the opportunityThe School of Project Management at the University of Sydney invites applications from several academic positions at all levels with strong ability to design and deliver world-leading research and teaching into Project Studies.Preference will be given to people who have, or who show a strong desire and plan for developing a track record of excellence in project research.Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to:engineering projects: e.g.temporary organising and institutional complexities, social and political dimensions of engineering projects, human-centred technology management;emerging project-based industries: e.g.net zero transition projects; project-based interfaces with manufacturing industries, sustainable development projects;engineering management: e.g.projects for innovation and industry disruptions and their organisational, financial and business challenges;projects and programs in the face of global grand challenges: e.g.emergency management or crisis management projects, projects for adaptation to climate crisis, projects for sustainable, resilient, and just future, projects for health interventions, urban and regional project studies;project leadership: e.g.managing project teams, project sponsorship, change management, project models and how project set-up affects outcomes;project supply chain management: e.g.supply chain risks in capital projects;projects in context: e.g.new understandings of the value of engineering projects and their benefits and projects, programs and portfolios in a wider societal context.A novel disciplinary angle to project research that is transferrable between industry sectors is desirable, including a range of established expertise in research methods that can cross-fertilise Project Studies.The School of Project Management delivers world-class research, PhD, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees (which are accredited by the Global Accreditation Centre of the Project Management Institute), and executive education.In this role you will also have an opportunity to work as a member of the John Grill Institute for Project Leadership, which is a cross-sectoral, multi-disciplinary institute with researchers across the University.All positions are full-time, continuing (tenure-track), teaching interaction and liaison;ability to contribute to administration of the School, the University and wider communities;completion, or near completion, of a Ph.D.The commencement level will be determined
