DGH have an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified Leading Hand Boilermaker to join our Mackay workshop team. This permanent role will allow you to lead our team to deliver quality products and services to our valued clients across multiple industries.
Duties:
Drive efficiency within the team to meet deadlines. Ensure employees comply with all WHS responsibilities and that a safety-first culture is a consistent behaviour within the workshop. Liaise with supervisors and management as required and become a valued team member. Maintain quality control standards for all work completed in the workshop. Coaching and development of apprentices and tradesmen. Minimum requirements for this role:
Trade certificate – Fabrication Trade. Motivated self-starter. Excellent leadership skills. Excellent fault finding and problem-solving skills. Ideally you would have:
Sound knowledge of welding and fabrication processes. 5 years post trade experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Clear and concise communication, verbal and written. Excellent mentoring and training skills. Experience working within an ISO 9001 certified business. Ability to work nightshift when required. What we offer:
