You will work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments to gather requirements, evaluate current processes, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and design solutions that enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities As a Business Analyst at Azooa, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that involve working closely with stakeholders, analysing business processes, and driving organisational improvements. Your key responsibilities will include:Process Analysis & Improvement:✅ Conduct thorough analyses of business processes to identify areas for optimisation and improvement.✅ Document current state (As-Is) and future state (To-Be) processes using BPMN standards, ensuring clear business dependencies and linkages.✅ Analyse existing systems and workflows to determine their effectiveness and propose innovative solutions.✅ Identify inefficiencies and recommend strategies to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.Requirements Gathering & Documentation:✅ Collaborate with stakeholders across government departments to elicit and document requirements.✅ Use tools like interviews, surveys, workshops, and observation to gather key insights.✅ Develop comprehensive business requirements documents (BRDs) and translate them into actionable project plans.Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):✅ Create and implement detailed SOPs to ensure consistent practices across the organisation.✅ Ensure SOPs reflect best practices and meet regulatory and operational requirements.Collaboration & Communication:✅ Work with cross-functional teams to design and build new capabilities that improve service delivery.✅ Facilitate open communication and foster productive relationships with stakeholders across the enterprise, promoting mutual understanding and collaboration.✅ Collaborate with enterprise functions such as HR, finance, case management, and customer service to ensure seamless transitions to future service delivery models.✅ Partner with external agencies and vendors as needed to deliver comprehensive solutions.Project Planning & Execution:✅ Participate in project planning, monitoring, and execution to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.✅ Provide subject matter expertise in areas of business design and transition.✅ Support change management efforts, helping teams adapt to new processes and systems.What You’ll Bring to the Team We’re looking for a motivated and experienced professional who is ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role. The ideal candidate will have a unique combination of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills.Qualifications & Experience: A tertiary degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Project Management, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst working with government agencies in an agile environment. Active NV1/NV2 clearance (required) with the ability to undergo TS Positive Vetting clearance.Technical Skills:Proficiency in requirements elicitation, process analysis, and SOP development.Expertise in business process mapping (using BPMN standards) for documenting As-Is and To-Be processes.Strong understanding of enterprise domains, including service delivery, human resources, finance, case management, and customer service management.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Visio, as well as Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence.Key Capabilities:A strong track record of designing and building capabilities within service delivery organisations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively engage with a wide range of stakeholders.Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Experience managing and delivering training to internal teams and external agencies or vendors.Working Arrangements The role is Canberra-based, with work to be conducted from official premises in the ACT.Flexible start date.Azooa is looking for a candidate who not only meets the technical requirements of the role but also demonstrates a passion for delivering value and building strong stakeholder relationships.
