Senior Underground Mine Planning Engineer Our client, a global gold mining business, is seeking a Senior Underground Mine Planning Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading gold producer where your expertise will directly impact operational success. The role is on an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth.
Job details:
Oversee all planning activities incorporating short & mid-term planning requirements Oversee all mine design from initial long-term plans through to final Mine Planning Approvals (MPA) Update all mining costs quarterly, in line with actuals on a 12-month rolling average Deliver monthly & quarterly forecasts & mining schedules Oversee monthly & weekly mining schedules ensuring forecasts are set to achieve mining budget Provide supervision & mentoring to the planning engineers. Develop personnel directly reporting to this position through coaching, training, and regular appraisals. Success in this role will come from your skills in team management, critical thinking, and being proactive along with the capability to mentor and support a team of engineers.
We require:
Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience Practical production & planning experience in mechanized hard-rock UG mining First class ticket desirable but not a requirement Competent in full suite of Deswik packages (Sched, CAD, SO, MDM) Demonstrated ability, developing operationally ready mine designs, schedules and managing engineering workflows.
