The WT Data Centre team continues to grow nationally, with high-profile new engagements landing with multi-national technology clients, leading to a new, Associate Quantity Surveyor role in the Brisbane Data Centre team. With major projects underway and more in the pipeline, we're on the lookout for an experienced Associate (or Senior Quantity Surveyor) that has ideally managed Data Centre projects or other similar mission-critical and complex sites. Those with a real cost-engineer lens and those with electrical and mechanical backgrounds are highly sought. This role is responsible for: Complex Cost Engineering on mission-critical projects Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities Master-plan and feasibility budgets Cost checking of developing design Tender evaluations and analysis Cash flow projects Procurement Cost reporting Final account reporting Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims Investment analysis Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans Minimum Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software/ Cost X Extensive experience in MEP and heavy services projects Demonstrated track record of winning and managing major projects Experience managing mission-critical projects or similar projects of complex design At WT, in addition to your competitive salary we offer many perks including: Paid professional memberships - support in gaining and supporting your membership costs for RICS and AIQS Wellbeing days - time to focus on your wellbeing and the community WT's balanced way of working When you're working from the office, you'll be in an award-winning office fit-out which supports flexible and activity-based working in a prime location with amazing views If you're keen to advance and broaden your career within the construction industry then this could be a great opportunity for you.
