APS3 Participant Support Officer | Federal Government | Geelong

I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency in Geelong to recruit an APS3 Participant Support Officer for a full-time temporary assignment.
Your new role: As the APS3 Participant Support Officer you will be working on site in a Front of House position and you will be responsible for procedural, clerical, administrative support and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities. During this role you will be required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
1. Managing and resolving matters by actioning planning tasks.
2. Providing counter/reception support for the local office including participant enquiries.
3. Resolving customer enquiries, providing information and/or referring customers to appropriate government or community services.
4. Managing the team shared email inbox, appointments and telephone enquiries.
5. Coordinating appointments and ensuring facilities are accessible.
6. Undertaking research and investigation activities and preparing associated reports and correspondence.
7. Undertaking a range of data entry activities and ensuring follow up is completed.
8. Receiving and recording complaints and other feedback.
What you'll need to succeed:
1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
2. Demonstrated experience working autonomously.
3. Demonstrated experience analysing and interpreting information.
4. Experience managing conflict and difficult/sensitive information.
5. IT proficiency, especially MS Office and Customer Record Management (CRM's).
6. Experience in Front of House and or administration type role.
7. Government experience is desired.
8. Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain.
9. Australian Citizenship.
10. Experience in the disability, health or aged care sectors is desirable.
