Are you a caring, dedicated individual looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of aged care residents? Kimba Pioneer Memorial Hostel is seeking passionate Direct Care Workers to join our Residential Care Home team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Bed making Bathing, showering, personal hygiene and grooming Maintenance of mobility/dexterity Distribution of clean laundry/personal attire Cleaning of equipment, aids, utensils in work area and cleanliness and neatness of clients' environment Transportation of clients Assist with self-administration of medication on medical authority Assist with the provision of routine treatments and procedures You will have experience in a similar role where you can demonstrate the ability to exercise your own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position. With effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds, and circumstances, you will enjoy working collaboratively with consumers, families, and carers. Proven ability to use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality is required as well as experience in the use of computer packages.

Kimba Pioneer Memorial Hostel provides low to medium level residential care for older people in a home-like environment. Higher level care is provided at the hospital, adjacent to Kimba Pioneer Memorial Hostel. Respite care is available at the hostel and hospital.
Kimba, once named 'the kindest place in Australia and best remote area to live', has a community of 1300 people and is situated halfway across Australia on the world-renowned Eyre Highway, National Highway One.
