The Barcaldine region is in central west Queensland, approximately 440 km west of Rockhampton. Your new role Comprehend and interpret plumbing and water supply schematics and floor layouts Maintain plumbing systems while ensuring no disruption to existing infrastructure Assemble, install, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, and water system appliances Guide and support Apprentices/Plumbers in their daily responsibilities Offer advice and assistance to Plumbers in surrounding towns as required Ensuring stock levels ordering parts as required Assist with swimming pool maintenance, including taking samples during both on and off seasons Address public concerns promptly and respectfully Repair, replace, troubleshoot, install, and maintain heating and ventilation systems, sanitary plumbing, drainage and roofing, gas fittings, water reticulation, pipe installations, and ductwork What you'll need to succeed Trade Qualified PlumberValid QLD class C drivers licencePossession of a General Construction Induction CardAt least 5 years post-apprenticeship experienceWorking knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to plumbing workAbility to pass a pre-employment medical What you'll get in return If you are successful in this role, we will assist you with relocating to the small town of Barcaldine. The salary is approximately $100k per annum, plus 12% superannuation. Accommodation will be provided for the first three months of your contract, followed by discounted rent for the remainder. This position offers a 9-day fortnight schedule, with the potential for on-call and overtime work, and includes the use of a company vehicle during work hours.
