Community Development Officer - 30 hours per week
CALM Inc is delighted to announce the expansion of our community programs and services with the south Lake Macquarie community. Current programs include community events, school holiday programs and the development of a monthly ER Hub. This position is for up to 30 hours per week and is available for immediate start. You will be welcomed into a highly experienced and supportive team with days and base location all negotiable.
Our ideal candidate will be someone who:
* Holds a Diploma of Community Services or demonstrated experience working in community development.
* Has experience in Targeted Early Intervention (TEI) programs and services focused on child safe outcomes, working within a Strengths Based Framework.
* Has a cleared Working with Children Check and commitment to Child Safe Standards.
* Holds a current unrestricted NSW driver’s license with a good driving record.
* Works collaboratively - sharing initiatives to enhance community and best practice.
* Has a strong commitment to teamwork, initiative, and a non-judgmental approach. You will uphold our values of respect, ethical behavior, professionalism, and social justice at all times.
* We work with a high number of Aboriginal clients and strongly welcome Indigenous applicants.
