We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join the Asset Performance and Delivery team at this exciting time. This role will play a pivotal role in the businesses by providing engineering leadership in our ongoing capital upgrades, modernisation and water-savings projects. The team is responsible for delivering internally-funded and government-funded works programs to ensure an industry-leading operation and service to our customers.
Reporting to the Manager – Project Delivery, the Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for construction project engineering, contractor management, quality assurance, and mentoring junior team members. Key tasks may include construction planning, specification development, design reviews, implementing inspection and test plans, and materials selection. The position is integral for maintaining an effective link between MI’s internal teams and external contractors for the successful delivery of MI construction projects in accordance with MI standards and best practice engineering principles.
What will you bring
The successful applicant will have:
1. Tertiary qualifications in Engineering with Chartered Engineer accreditation with Engineers’ Australia
2. 5-10 years of engineering experience in water infrastructure
3. Extensive experience & knowledge in project delivery & management
4. Knowledge of safe work procedures, practices & relevant state regulations
5. Demonstrated ability in positive communication, accountability & team leadership
6. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft software applications
7. Current 'C' class motor vehicle licence
8. Live in or be willing to relocate to the Griffith Area (or its surrounds)
9. A 'can do' attitude focused on delivering outcomes
10. Commitment to a strong values culture and a preparedness to 'walk the talk'
