The Emergency Department (ED) team within Hospitals North plays a critical role in providing immediate, life-saving care to the community. Comprising emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, paramedics, allied health professionals, and support staff, the team works collaboratively to assess, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions. Their multidisciplinary approach ensures timely and effective treatment for patients while their integration with broader health services supports holistic care and continuity.
The Role:
* Develop and deliver clinical education programs.
* Support staff in clinical competency development and assessments.
* Ensure compliance with current healthcare standards and practices.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
* Mentor and guide nursing staff in professional development.
Minimum Requirements:
* Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse, with a requirement to maintain current and valid registration at all times.
* Demonstrated experience and high-level knowledge in clinical nursing practice, along with the ability to develop, implement, and evaluate professional development, education, and training programs in a clinical setting.
* Sound knowledge of contemporary education theories, healthcare professional development trends, and the ability to apply quality improvement and research strategies to enhance nursing education and practice.
Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent, full-time, day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
