Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
The role consists of:
•Produce and maintain consistently high levels of food preparation & presentation
•A la carte restaurant, tapas menus, and function menu's
•Hands-on across all areas of the kitchen, including function or offsite events
•Work under the direction of the Head Chef, to assist with smooth daily operations, along with fresh, new, and exciting promotions or creative alternatives are implemented
•A flexible roster, across 7 days including nights and weekends
Skills and Experience:
The successful applicant will possess the following skills:
•Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
•Strong a la carte experience in pans and grill sections
•Work as a positive, professional, team member with a 'can-do' attitude across all areas of the kitchen
•Trade qualifications, including Food Safety Certificate
•Good communication skills
•Strong product knowledge, and attention to detail/consistency
•Good understanding of food safety requirements & standards for maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
