The Opportunity The Faculty of Law is seeking a Lecturer (Practice) to lead clinical legal education programs with a focus on tax law, supervise and assess students, provide tax law advice and representation, ensure high-quality client service, maintain operational systems, and contribute to research and community engagement.
As the successful candidate, you will be a qualified legal practitioner with at least three years of tax law experience and a current practising certificate.
You will have expertise in income tax and federal administrative law, experience negotiating with the ATO, and a strong background in clinical legal education and student supervision.
Your role will involve advising and representing disadvantaged clients, including those from culturally diverse backgrounds and those affected by family violence.
Strong organisational, communication, and relationship management skills are essential, along with the ability to mentor students and contribute to their professional development.
