As a Medical Officer, you'll make a positive impact by:
* Delivering primary medical care according to professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.
* Being part of a multidisciplinary team working toward the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining health and wellbeing of Defence members.
* Assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and providing care that supports their health and well-being pre and post deployments.
* Providing medical technical advice to senior officers.
* Being supported by a Team of Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues.
* Providing services in outpatient or inpatient settings.
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force personnel across Australia.
About Kapooka HC & Clinic
Kapooka Health Centre & Clinic are approximately 10 minutes outside Wagga Wagga within the Kapooka Military area. These health facilities support the Army Recruit Training Centre. It has a 50-bed ward operating 24/7. Services provided include primary medical, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy. Health Centre staff may be required to work across Wagga & Kapooka. Standard hours are generally 0700-1600 Monday to Friday.

You're an experienced medical professional with solid foundations as a General Practitioner. Your passion for providing quality medical services drives everything you do. You have a friendly and professional manner that puts patients at ease and take pride in inspiring trust from both patients and colleagues alike. You demonstrate exceptional moral values in everything you do. You're passionate about clinical services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* Personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Current unconditional registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia.
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration.
* Minimum 2 years full-time postgraduate experience in general practice within the last 5 years.
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
Please note:
* You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
* You don't need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work on-base.
