Position Summary:
The role is responsible for testing and analysis of new and existing electronics designs, configuring and performing electrical testing and undertaking Software testing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Engineering Staff: Assist in the development and testing of electrical and electronic systems, including designing and building electronic circuits and test equipment.
* Testing & Evaluation: Undertake electrical and electronics testing, evaluate performance against design specifications, and document tests according to standard reporting methods.
* Software Testing: Conduct detailed software testing against defined operating specifications.
* Warranty Analysis: Analyse failed components to determine failure modes and contribute to technical discussions regarding electronic products and designs.
* Promote the highest degree of health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
* Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance with quality systems and environmental standards, contributing to our corporate social responsibility goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Associate Diploma in Electronics
* Proven experience in high-volume consumer electronic circuit design and engineering test environments.
* Familiarity with CAD software (Altium preferred).
* Understanding of embedded software code (C language).
* Experience in electronics manufacturing and testing processes.
* Knowledge of EMC design techniques and failure modes of electronic components.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
* Results-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
