Established in 2016, it oversees Victoria's largest school building program since the state introduced free public education in the 1870s. The VSBA upgrades and expands existing schools and plans, designs, and builds new schools to meet enrolment demand. We also support schools to maintain their buildings and grounds by offering expert advice and coordinating maintenance programs and grants.With Victoria recently introducing two years of funded kindergarten, the VSBA is also working with the early childhood sector on a massive kindergarten construction program.About the DivisionThe Asset Management Division helps schools maintain and manage their buildings and grounds and ensures they are more energy efficient. The Division trains school leaders as facilities managers and supports them to develop school maintenance plans. They coordinate programs, assessments, and systems to ensure schools are routinely maintained and cleaned.The Division includes the Asset Management Branch, School Asset Management Support Branch, Facilities Branch, Maintenance Delivery Branch, and the Programs Branch.About the RoleThis is a full-time fixed-term role until 30th June 2026.We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join the Essential Safety Measures (ESM) team supporting Victorian Government schools.Reporting to the Manager of the Facilities Management Unit, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that partners with schools and VSBA appointed service providers to ensure compliance with Essential Safety Measures.As an analyst/project officer in this diverse role, you will use your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret and analyse data, fully understanding the scope of work. Your responsibilities will include finance and data analysis, reporting and reconciliation within different aspects of the ESM program.In collaboration with the team, you will streamline internal processes and activities, focusing on performance and progress reporting, ensuring the accuracy of incoming data and verifying service provider claims.Key tasks of your role involve data cleansing, transformation, and uploading supplier information into departmental systems. You will generate various reports from multiple data sources, delivering timely, high-quality information to stakeholders as requested. You will assist with budget and expenditure reporting, keeping precise records that comply with departmental policies and procedures. General team support, monitoring shared mailboxes, will also be part of your responsibilities along with supporting contract management and minor procurement.This position may involve visiting school sites during operating hours, therefore will require a valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check and a current Victorian Driver's Licence.All VSBA staff have a shared responsibility to meet the same service standards outlined in the VSBA Customer Service Charter.
