We are an Equal Opportunity employer, and we encourage applications from women and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.The roleThe Strategic Procurement Project Specialist will lead and manage cross-functional Category Teams, develop category strategies, lead and participate in Sourcing Projects/Cases, establish contracts, manage relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders, and identify, research, evaluate, and select suppliers within a category.Areas of responsibilitySupport and coordinate the end-to-end management of identified Indirect Procurement projects to support Sandvik businesses, stakeholders, and required outcomes.Adhere to all Sandvik and EHS policies and procedures.Adhere to Sandvik Procurement policy and approval process.Apply the use of supplier contracts where implemented.Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all Indirect Procurement Tools and Processes.Build effective and sustainable relationships with internal and business clients, Procurement Managers, and Suppliers.Process daily purchase order requirements to meet Sandvik business needs.Ensure continuity of supply and that supplier performance is achieved in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.Develop relevant knowledge regarding supply markets, opportunities, and risks.Seek out opportunities to lower the total cost of ownership of materials, equipment, and services.Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, guidelines, regulations, and laws.Implement and follow up on country sourcing plans.Onboard (evaluate and approve) suppliers.Create contracts related to own managed sourcing projects and activities and implement contracts within the area of responsibility.Identify and implement process improvements for business growth.Secure professional Category reporting in the region and to the global function.Support the category Pre-Studies in the region, from the documentation of the business and its requirements to the selection process for the design works until the completion of the Investment Approval documents.Support business representatives in developing the business case and the required material for (SAB Board) approval.Your profileYou will have demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in a target-driven setting with great attention to detail. You will be familiar with Sandvik's product offering and have experience working in a fast-paced environment.To perform well in this role, you will be a strong communicator, display demonstrated customer relationship building along with a high level of initiative, and be able to work autonomously. Your interpersonal skills will be highly developed, including the ability to negotiate with customers; additionally, you will have a good level of computer literacy and the ability to research and document data collection sets.
