Regional Express Holdings Limited (Administrators Appointed) An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified individual to join the REX Engineering Team as a full-time Workshop Technician, based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
Reporting This position reports to the Engine Shop Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities Repair, servicing and maintenance of CT7 Engines & components (i.e. batteries, wheels and brakes) at the Wagga Wagga workshop.Ensuring all maintenance work is performed to the highest standard, in a timely manner and in accordance with the appropriate approved data.Upkeep of workshop & equipment.Completion of appropriate documentation.Travel to other ports to assist with on-wing engine maintenance.Essential Selection Criteria Cert 4 in a mechanical trade.Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.A demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines.Working knowledge of WHS procedures.A valid driver's licence.Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.Competent computer skills.Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card and Airside Driving Licence.Must be willing to relocate to Wagga Wagga N.S.W.High level of visual acuity.Preferred Selection Criteria Cert 4 in mechanical trade industry or Cert 4 in Aeroskills-mechanical.CASA B1.1 Licence.GE CT7 or other Gas turbine engine experience.Knowledge of CASA regulations.Conditions Wage rates and conditions apply as per the Regional Express Aircraft Engineers Agreement.
