Primary Objective
As a member of the Home and Yard Maintenance Team, Yard Maintenance Field Officers are responsible for:
Impart information about program services and client eligibility Deliver a variety of yard maintenance services including mowing and gardening Provide a range of minor maintenance jobs, including rubbish removal, outdoor house cleans, and driveway cleans Relay appropriate information/referral to clients and senior program staff to meet client needs and to ensure the ongoing financial viability of the program Qualifications and Experience
Relevant horticulture qualifications and/or extensive experience in a similar role Current C or CA class Driver's license (QLD) Core Competencies
Proficient use of professional mowing equipment including Zero Turn ride on mower Demonstrated experience using professional trimming and pruning equipment Accuracy and attention to detail Professional communications skills with internal and external stakeholders Effective time management and task prioritisation skills Understanding of basic computing concepts Other Requirements
Good physical fitness and the ability to maintain manual handling work Basic skills in oral and written communication with clients and other members of the public Knowledge of established work practices and procedures relevant to the workplace Application of techniques relevant to the workplace Developing knowledge of statutory requirements relevant to the workplace Report any incident and hazards in a timely manner The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
This position requires the completion of an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.
