Join Us in Transforming The Movement Disorders Clinic About the Role - Clinical Nurse Consultant, MDC Join our dynamic Movement Disorders Clinic, where the Clinical Nurse Consultant plays a vital role within an innovative, multidisciplinary team. Our team along with our new Medical Director are committed to fostering collaboration and bringing fresh ideas that enhance our high-quality, evidence-based care for patients in one of Melbourne's fastest-growing regions. In this role, you'll collaborate with one of Victoria's largest specialist movement disorders teams, learning from a diverse group of health professionals, including neurologists, geriatricians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech pathologists, social workers, neuropsychologists, and dietitians, all within a supportive and friendly environment. As part of the Movement Disorders Medical Clinic, you will work alongside our highly skilled medical team and allied health assessment therapists, providing leadership, triaging clinical urgency, and conducting specialised assessments regarding clients' responses to treatment.
This is a full-time, ongoing position. While you will be required to work on-site Mondays, we offer flexibility for the remainder of the week to support work-life balance. Join us in shaping the future of movement disorder care through collaboration and innovation!

About You You are an experienced, talented and enthusiastic Community Clinical Nurse Consultant. You provide best practice care, education and support to clients and their caregivers specific to their movement disorders condition, and work in collaboration with the broader movement disorders clinic allied health team. To be successful in this role and make an impact, you will also bring:
Demonstrated knowledge and clinical skills of Parkinson's disease treatments and the complex interaction of medication for this client group.Ambition to further your clinical knowledge and expertise in Parkinson's and related conditions.Ability to supervise junior staff and contribute to peer-based learning.Willingness to participate in quality and research initiatives within the nursing team and broader movement disorders clinic.Demonstrated commitment to best practice care.A proactive and team player attitude.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Enthusiasm for working in a specialised multidisciplinary team.Mandatory Requirements of The Role Post Graduate qualifications in Parkinson's disease assessment and management.Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.Experience in providing information to support clients/carers to enhance their knowledge of self-management.Why Monash Health?
