Occupational Therapist - Senior (Continuing Care Team) Provide clinical occupational therapy, leadership and expertise at a high practice level for the provision and coordination of evidence-based consumer-centred care in accordance with organisational goals for the continuing care team. An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist - Senior (Continuing Care Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Utilise high level knowledge, experience, and clinical skill to provide senior occupational therapy services. Provide high-level clinical expertise in the area of child and youth mental health and actively contribute to the professional development and education of Nursing, Medical, and Allied Health staff. Ability to independently apply professional judgement to complex caseloads and contribute to the functional recovery of adolescents within the program. Contribute to the development of clinical practice procedures and protocols, for both the discipline and the multidisciplinary team, that support the continuum of care for consumers and families. About you To be successful in this position you will require: A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy. AHPRA Registration. Driver Licence. Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed. Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost). Temporary full time (6 months, with the possibility of extension). Base salary ranging from $4,912.70 - $5,286.40 per fortnight.
