Sales Assistant/Nursery Hand (With Loader Operator Experience)
We are looking for a Permanent experienced Sales Assistant/Nursery Hand on Part-time basis with an MR truck license, loader operator experience, retail customer service skills, and a passion for horticulture!
* Permanent, Part-time minimum 20 hours over 3 days per week (including 1 weekend shift).
* Preferred days of work are Monday, Friday and Saturday / Sunday (negotiable).
* Flexibility to work additional hours and public holidays as required - penalty rates apply.
* Competitive above award hourly rates + Super; in accordance with the General Retail Industry Award 2020 [MA000004] - Retail Employee Level 1, 2 or 3 depending on skills and experience.
* Medium Rigid Truck License (mandatory); Loader Operator experience (preferable).

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Sales Assistant/Nursery Hand with Operator experience to work at our Landscape Yard and Nursery (at the sales counter) as required. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and passionate about horticulture. You are also expected to be hands-on, given that the team is small and growing.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Responsible for sales loader operations.
* Perform yard duties as and when required.
* Providing high level of customer service and appropriate horticultural advice.
* Ensuring all nursery products are maintained and presented to a high standard.
* Delivery of Garden Landscape products to customers.
* Daily operations of the site including opening and closure of the site, banking and cash reconciliation.
* Working closely with Site Supervisor or Site Manager and perform additional duties as and when required.
* Complying with ASQ’s Workplace Health, Safety, and Environment management system.
Key Selection Criteria:
The successful candidate will have a passion for horticulture, be able to provide positive and confident customer interaction, and the ability to perform manual duties.
* Must have proven retail experience.
* Knowledge/ experience in nursery and landscape products.
* Experience using Point of Sales (POS) systems.
* Must hold Medium Rigid Truck License (MR).
* Able to work weekends and public holidays as required.
* Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines/customer requirements and follow direction.
* Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment and promoting a culture of teamwork.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and exemplary personal presentation.
