This is a key position that manages our Facilities & Maintenance teams across multiple campuses and takes pride in delivering high quality service while liaising closely with our capital works program and engages directly with campus leadership staff.Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this is a full time, permanent position. The Senior Facilities and Operations Manager will ensure the Campuses assets are maintained in line with School and Community expectations and that staff and contractors operate safely and securely. This role manages all activities related to reactive and proactive maintenance of the Campuses as well as managing strategic service providers and trades and deployment of routine capital.Key DutiesProvide leadership and support to the onsite Facilities and Maintenance Teams, ensuring that properties, buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained and presented in the best possible condition.Serve as on-campus liaison for capital works programs and coordinate routine capital works.Effectively and efficiently plan, analyze and manage maintenance budgets and reporting.Identify and forward plan maintenance, improvement projects and new works.Oversee the procurement, management and delivery of strategic supplier contracts.Ensure safety protocols are adhered to, conduct audits, report hazards/incidents, and identify workplace hazards.Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviors.Skills and ExperienceA proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.Demonstrated time management skills, organisational skills and problem-solving skills.Experience in facilities management, procurement and contract management.Exposure to capital works projects and project management.Experience with Maintenance Task/Contractor Management Systems such as Fresh Service/My Maintenance, Building Management Systems & Access Control Systems, LinkSafe, etc.Qualifications in trade such as carpentry, plumbing or electrical and/or education qualifications of a business-related/project management discipline would be ideal.Minimum Level 1 First Aid / Annual CPR and Anaphylaxis Management Training.Drivers License and Current Employment Working with Children Check.Why Caulfield Grammar SchoolOur culture is defined by the five values: Pursuing Excellence, Inspiring Creativity, Thriving Together, Embracing Diversity, and Living Wholeheartedly.
