Application Support Analyst

As an Application Support Analyst, you will be part of Clinical support team focusing on providing comprehensive support for our established ‘best of breed’ clinical solutions. Our team
Working with an extended highly skilled team that comprises dedicated healthcare and IT professionals working collaboratively to deliver the best possible standards of application support across our application portfolio, thus making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.
You will:
1. Be responsible for delivering quality task (incident and problem) resolution focused on support and maintenance related client interactions covering all areas of support and services relating to our industry leading Emergency Department (EDIS) and Operation Room (ORMIS) applications.
2. Provide functional advice both internally and externally pertaining to Dedalus Emergency Dept and Operating Room solutions to promote best practice outcomes.
3. Provide superior task management incorporating incident triage, analysis and resolution. Problem / Defect identification and categorisation
4. Utilise effective delegation and/or escalation to effectively manage and resolve incidents within contracted service level timeframes and targets.
5. Assist broader Clinical support team in all aspects of Incident and Problem management
6. Maintain a strong working relationship with our customers to foster collaboration and facilitate growth and develop processes which support client engagement, improvement and support within the team to implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency, assist with the testing of software released from the group and local development as required.
7. Support clients through user acceptance testing as required and work in accordance with the ITIL framework to implement and follow quality processes.
8. Participate in a rotating roster for out-of-hours support of incidents.

Essential Requirements
3 + years’ experience in the following:
Supporting Clinical applications in the Health Sector
Highly proficient in written and verbal communications
Providing functional and/or technical support for healthcare IT systems
T/SQL or PL/SQL Experience
Desirable Requirements
Degree in Health Information Management and/or Information Technology
Understanding of Interfacing and HL7 messaging
Understanding of ITIL processes
